.A Fathers Day freebie for you!.

After putting together my last blog post on Fathers Day ideas, I got all motivated to stay up a little bit longer and make up some Fathers Day cards for you to use!

I’ve been enjoying playing around on Photoshop lately making up some prints – I’m by no means a pro, but when I come up with ones that I’m happy with, I’ll be sharing them with you on my blog as free printables!

So, here are two different colour versions of my Fathers Day “DAD ROCKS” card. You can click directly on the images and drag them to your desktop to print out and use as you wish, or click on the links below for a ready to print, cut and fold card.

I hope you enjoy these free printables – feel free to do what ever you wish with them 🙂
And for those of you on the other side of the world, maybe you’ll save them for Fathers Day next year!

.Young Women Personal Progress Prints.

In my church we have a wonderful program for the Young Women (girls aged between 12 and 17) called Personal Progress that helps them to gain self-worth and a stronger relationship with their Heavenly Father.  The Personal Progress program is a lot of hard work and takes effort and determination to accomplish.  I have seen many girls (including myself) complete the program though and know that it really helps them to become a well-rounded and confident individual.

Recently we had a training meeting for the Young Women leaders in our area and I made some prints – one for each of the values in the Personal Progress program – for the leaders to do what they like with.  (Thanks to a quick “how to” from the lovely Leanne!)  I thought that I’d share them on my blog also as I know there are many member of my church that visit here and perhaps they might be useful to you?  Feel free to do what you like with them – decorate your YW room, give them to the girls for birthday presents or use as part of lessons, use your imagination!

I personally like to get my prints printed professionally as a photograph but you can print them out on your computer just as easily.  All you have to do is click on each image below, and it will come up in a big size.  Drag the big image to your desktop and it is ready for you to print or use how ever you wish!  Hope they are helpful to someone out there.

.Kind Over Matter.

The number of “have to read” blogs out there is getting a little overwhelming! Every now and then I have to go through and cull my blogroll so that I only include blogs I love to read or else I spend all of my time reading blog after blog and it all gets a bit addictive and ridiculous.

I have, however, recently found Kind Over Matter, a lovely blog full of kind acts, great links and inspirational projects.

Recently, Leanne’s Art Prints were included in their Positive Printables round up. How lovely is that? Thankyou Kind Over Matter 🙂

Positive Printables Part II!

P.S. We are off to Sydney today (minus the children) for a few days. I’ve got a few posts scheduled for while we are away but if I don’t end the giveaways on the days I was supposed to, you now know why 🙂

.A Blog Announcement from Lil.

Lilsy (who prefers to wear nothing but undies and a singlet) would like to notify you of a couple of changes around the blog…

1. On the left-hand sidebar we now have a handy link to Leanne’s Free Art Prints so that you don’t have to hunt around for them anymore.

2. If you click on the Recipe Monday link underneath the header at the top of the page, you will be directed to a new fancy pants Recipe Monday page – including a complete index of ALL of the recipes that have been published on my blog along with a photograph of each recipe 🙂 It is highly likely that I have stuffed up some of the links on the page, so if you are looking for the homemade marshmallow recipe and end up at the recipe for easy fried rice – let me know!

That’s all. Thanks Lil 🙂

.Leanne’s Awesome FREE Art Prints.

I know this super cool girl and her name is Leanne. Last week she sent me an email telling me that she had stayed home from school one day to work on an assignment but got sidetracked doing creative stuff instead (oh, I know EXACTLY what that is like – she is my kind of girl!!!). In her time of distraction she started designing and putting together some awesome art prints featuring inspiring quotes and sayings.

Leanne doesn’t have a blog (but don’t you think she should!) and told me that she wanted to share the love asked if I would be interested in popping them on my blog so that you could all have them for FREE! I told you she was cool!

So, here are my favourites…from Leanne to you.

There are so many things you can do with these…
Print them out and make cool greeting cards
Stick them in pretty frames (wouldn’t a wall display featuring a number of these together look cool?)
Use as desktop wallpaper on your computer
Make into a calendar for 2011 – awesome Christmas present you can make now!
Print them out in postcard size and use as postcards or add to your inspiration board

I’m sure you can think of a gazillion more things to use them for! I’ll be printing quite a few out over the coming months and will be sure to share my creations with you.

These prints have been tested and print out great in A4 quality – we haven’t tried any bigger yet, but I think they would be fine. To get the image ready to print, click on the print and a slightly enlarged version will come up. Drag that to your desktop and print!

We would love to see what you do with these prints…feel free to email through any pictures or ideas.

Oh, and leave a comment to tell Leanne how very cool she is 🙂

{PLEASE respect Leanne’s effort in making and designing these prints. She has been generous enough to share them for free with us – that means no selling or claiming them as your own. If you blog about or want to share them with your friends, please link back to this post so that credit can be given to Leanne.}
