Make It Perfect

.Citrus pOp…in my hair.

I am a very visual person and find it hard to picture what things are going to look like unless I have something concrete in front of me to focus on. We were having a play with the camera yesterday and took some photos of Citrus pOp hairpins in my hair. I finally made myself a selection of favourites to wear in my hair so that I am not tempted to open every set in the shop and keep them for myself!

So, if you are wondering what they look like in someone’s hair…wonder no more!

Oh, and I have decided to reduced the prices of the hairpins to make them a little more affordable too so take a look!

P.S. Citrus pOp is now on Made It!

Make It Perfect

.For the library.

For once in my life I am organised when it comes to the kids birthdays. After my “I’m sick of toys” episode I realised that another way to be toy-smart is to make sure I plan what the kids are getting for their birthdays AHEAD of the actual day rather than leaving it until the last minute and ending up getting something that they don’t need or won’t care about in a month.

You can never go wrong with books and when I discovered Book Depository with competitive prices and FREE SHIPPING I couldn’t help but stock up for Oscar and Lil’s upcoming birthdays. As well as a few to keep me happy also ๐Ÿ™‚

Actually, I’m really impressed with Prints Charming’s new book…these girls have style like no other and, thanks to them, I think that we have finally decided on how we want to decorate our bedroom…just have the difficult task of deciding on fabric and getting onto it now!!

Speaking of bedrooms, I decided to get stuck into Tommy’s room yesterday and pulled his cot apart and started painting it fire truck red. After 1 coat I just wasn’t feeling right about it and now we have decided to use the same charcoal colour as the exterior of our house instead!!! Poor little guy…he slept in a half-painted, barely put together cot last night and we have moved him to the portacot in our room tonight with hopes of getting it finished. I think I am going to be happy with the end result – if not, I don’t think I’ll be making changes any time soon!

.Sweet Dreams take 2.

I promise this isn’t turning into a pyjama blog…but it is such satisfying sewing for me at the moment. Quick to cut and sew and cosy to wear on a cold evening ๐Ÿ™‚

I knew I wanted to use these Heather Bailey prints for the Sweet Dreams cover but didn’t know if I wanted to use the blue or pink version. The only way to find out was to make them both! I do love these blue ones but thought the pink shabby-chic look suited what I was looking for in the cover better.

I have also made Sweet Dreams PJs in some gorgeous flannel prints but haven’t taken any photos to share yet – will do it soon though because I think you will love them.

.Pattern Release: SWEET DREAMS.

A brand new Make It Perfect pattern for YOU today! Sweet Dreams.

There is nothing better than popping on a pair of PJs at the end of a long day.

Sweet Dreams pyjama pants are super comfy – ticking all the boxes with wide legs, a beautiful satin ribbon drawstring and cool contrasting trim.

Team them up with the stylish cosmetics purse – featuring a cute bubble shape and handy wrist strap, it is big enough for all the necessities!
Sweet Dreams makes a lovely gift for a special friend.

You spoke and I listened! After repeated requests for Slumber Party Jammies in womens sizes I couldn’t wait any longer…actually it didn’t take much to sway me towards coming up with a pattern for a comfy pair of PJs!

And talk about comfortable…I can’t wait until the end of the day when I can put them on and totally chill out. In fact, I’ve gone a little pyjama-crazy and have made myself 4 pairs in the last month – a girl can’t have enough pairs of cute jammies, right?! I’ve made mine in flannel and cotton and they are both to die for. I am especially loving my flannel ones now that we are in the midst of winter. I’d live in them day and night if I could…I wonder if I could get away with wearing them when I drop Oscar off at school ๐Ÿ˜‰

I’m finding the cosmetics purse very handy also. It isn’t a small “makeup only” size bag. This purse is big enough to fit your makeup as well as a few bigger toiletry items. It is definitely big enough for the average person to fit everything they need in for an overnight trip. And it is pretty too – I think every girl deserves a pretty cosmetics purse!

Isn’t my model lovely? This is my beautiful cousin, Emily. She is so much fun and I love her to bits – thanks Emmy…you rock!! Thanks to Fiona also for editing my photos ๐Ÿ™‚
