.G+G.

Hands up if you love Grandparents?

I do!  They spoil you rotten when you are a kid and then when you have kids of your own, they forget about you and spoil your kids rotten!!!

These are my Grandparents.  They live away from us in South Australia.  We really miss them and hadn’t seen them for 1 year.  They came to visit us for 1 month and have just gone home.  As much as I love them dearly, I love even more that my children love them.  They followed them around, performed tricks and hung off their every word for 4 weeks.
Grandad and Granny even babysat one night for us so that Jaron and I could go out!  It was party time for the kids – when we got home at 9:30pm the house was buzzing.  Every board game had been played with Oscar (and he won every time!), Tommy and Grandad were crawling on the floor like Dog’s licking everything around them, and Lil had dressed Granny up as the Sugar Plum Fairy!!!  I love that the children can have fun, special times with them and that they aren’t old and grumpy.

We love you Grandad and Granny – please come again! Actually, why don’t you just move back?  Then we could go out for dinner more often and leave you with the troops!!! x

.Triff’s Back.

He did it!  My littlest brother came home from his mission for our church – 2 years of hard work and full-time service teaching the people of Japan all about what we believe in!
Every time he would email home, his emails would start with “Triff’s Back” so I thought it apt to create this fun speech-bubble prop to greet him at the airport with!

And here’s the boy…still the same, yet very different.  I am so proud of this momentous achievement in his life, we really missed him when he was gone and are already enjoying his charm and humour and vague comments!
Love these photos of Cade with Mum and Dad – looks like Mum missed his hugs while Dad just wants him to get back to work!!!

Missionaries Rock!  To find out more about what they are doing and why – read here.  And don’t be afraid to chat to them when they come knocking on your door, you could be making my little brother’s day!

.On Sunday…meet Roger.

We skype the family in lands far away.
Tommy shows his camera pose.

We watch for kicking from this little girl – who we will meet in 7 weeks!
Fun and laughter with our family – this is my Grandad, visiting from Adelaide for a few weeks.
And then we met Roger.  Who had us in stitches for a very long time.  His resemblance to a citizen from Whoville is uncanny and we really hope that the above baby comes out looking nothing like him.

Then Roger got a little cheeky and started to make fun of Make It Perfect.  Thought you might enjoy a little Sunday night chuckle…

.LOST!.

We’ve been waiting and waiting and waiting for these little loose teeth to fall out.  And finally one did!

Oscar was sick of it hurting him every time he tried to eat something, so he begged Jaron to pull it out.  And “pop!” out it came!  So brave and the next morning he found himself $2 richer 🙂

.School’s Back!.

And these little monkeys were off today!  I think we were all itching for school to get back and some routine to happen around here again.

Oscar is in Grade 1 this year and Lil has started Kindergarten!  She has been super excited all holidays to go to school and looked sooooo cute this morning all dressed up and ready to go.

Just as we were about to walk into her classroom she turned to me and said, “Mum I think I’m going to be a little bit shy”!  And she was.  So Tommy and I stayed with her for a little while until she was feeling okay about us leaving.  She had a lovely day and was very happy this afternoon – all excited to go back tomorrow!
