.getting bigger.

Every morning when Oscar wakes up we have this discussion:

Mum: Oscar! Look at you…when did you grow so big?

Oscar: When I was sleeping and when I woke up I was big, big, bigger. (stands up on tippy-toes and stretches his arms up to the sky)
Mum: Wowee! All that sleeping must be good for you. You are getting to be the biggest boy in the whole wide world.

Oscar: Yep, thats because I am big now, and I am three. And my feet are bigger and my arms are bigger and even my tummy is getting bigger. (gets a big, proud smile on his face)

He is getting bigger too…much, much bigger. No more little toddler – this is a big boy and we love him dearly.

.Crafty again.

Aaah…it feels SO good! The last six weeks have been very unproductive craft-wise. The break was nice though, but I started to get the sewing itch bad after a few weeks! Lots of new projects going on around here now…some new cushions in the making for the couch make-over:
AND working on a new pattern that I LOVE LOVE LOVE!! Shouldn’t be too much longer and I will have it ready to show you 🙂

.Seahorse World.

First of all…blogging has taken a Summer back seat again! We’ve been enjoying some warm days and they are too infrequent this Summer to waste time on the computer 🙂 Also, Aunty Whitney has been staying with us this week, which has been lots of fun – Oscar and Lil love all of the attention and I love the company and extra help!!
Yesterday we made the most of Australia Day and Jaron having a day off work and took a trip to Beauty Point to visit Seahorse World. Oscar loved it – his new favourite topic of conversation is seahorses! It was a nice little outing, a little overpriced maybe, but fun to do something different.
Beauty Point has breathtaking views, Seahorse World is set on a huge kind of jetty – really pretty, but kind of freaky with two toddlers and no side rails anywhere! My mind overreacts when there is lots of ocean and no boundaries!
We finished off the day with a play at the beach when we got home, some beach cricket with friends and the customary Australia Day BBQ. I wish it were a Public Holiday every day…

.Generation Gap.

Oscar and Lil miss Grandad.

Lil would follow him around all morning holding his hand and take him to different places. He taught her tricks too – special little jumps and twists. He would share his vegemite toast with her.

Oscar thought he was funny, Grandad helped him catch a slater and built him a house out of tea towels and plastic containers. They called him Paulus.
