Discovery Bag, Make It Perfect

.Pattern Parade: GIRL LIKE THE SEA.

Tara from Girl Like the Sea is with us on the Pattern Parade today. If you are looking for an honest (and often humorous) blog to read, then look no further than Tara. She shares pieces of her life and crafty makes in an amusing and entertaining fashion.

Tara is just starting homeschooling Montessori-style with her littlies and thought that a Discovery Bag would make a great addition to their play resources. Read more on Girl Like The Sea – and yep, her children are perfect creations!

.MIP Pattern Parade: THINGS FOR BOYS.

I first properly met Abby from Things For Boys when I used one of her great tutorials to add fold-over cuffs to some of the baby clothes I made for Harvey. Abby is the Mum to two gorgeous boys and her blog has loads of boy-friendly stuff on it as well as lots of sewing for herself too.

Today in the Pattern Parade I am excited to share Abby’s pretty Shearwater Kaftan she made ready for Summer. Abby is an Aussie girl too, and like me, dreaming about Summer in the depths of Winter. Love her shortened sleeves too, I’ve never seen anyone make a Kaftan with short sleeves and I think it looks great! See More at Things for Boys.

.MIP Pattern Parade: CRAFTSTORMING.

Well, my dear audience members of the Pattern Parade…we are half-way through the month! Hope you’ve enjoyed meeting some new bloggers, picking up some inspiration and seeing all of the wonderful creations as much as I have!
Joining us on the catwalk today is Laura from Craftstorming. Laura lives in the UK and is an avid sewer and baker – you will find lots of great sewing creations and tutorials on her blog, as well as mouth watering sweet treat baking. Laura has also designed a couple of great sewing patterns for children that she sells under her Titchy Threads label.
Check out the beautiful Poppy Tunic Laura is sharing in the Pattern Parade – this is still one of my absolute favourite patterns…makes me want to sew another! And she added pockets too, which I always wish I had done after I finish!!! See more and win a PDF pattern over at Craftstorming.

.MIP Pattern Parade: A HAPPY STITCH.

Melissa from A Happy Stitch joins us on the Pattern Parade today – welcome Melissa! Melissa is an avid sewer and her blog is a great one to follow…she sews pretty much everything – clothes for her boys, clothes for herself, quilts, cushions, bags…and she also teaches sewing classes locally and has a lot of knowledge to share.

For the Pattern Parade, Melissa is showing off her TWO newly-made Make It Perfect creations. A comfy Coastal Breeze dress which makes for easy Summer wearing and a lovely Honey Blouse that she pulled out some hoarded liberty print for the trims – love it! See more of these two great items on Melissa’s blog!

.MIP Pattern Parade: DOGUINCHO.

Joining the Pattern Parade all the way from Portugal today is Marta from DoGuincho. (Portugal…cool, huh?!) She sews bright and happy clothing for her two super cute daughters and all of her posts include English translation, which is good for us non-Portuguese readers and way easier than using Google Translate!!

Marta is sharing a gorgeous Zip-It dress she has sewn for her daughter in the Pattern Parade. Doesn’t it scream “Summer”? I think she needs an ice cream cone to top it off! I think just about any little girl would love a dress that looks as cute as this one! Visit DoGuincho to see more photos of Marta’s creation.
