.My Blogging Buddies.

Monday was lots of fun having lunch and a play at Simone‘s house with Lisa and Chelsea. These three girls are my blogging buddies, I love to read their blogs and learn so much from them (hanging out in real life is much more fun though!) Through these girls I learn to laugh, have fun, be charitable and trustworthy, relaxed and spontaneous. I learn to go with the flow, create memories, find beauty in the little things and solve problems. I learn tried and tested mothering skills. I learn how to be a friend.

.Recipe Monday.

A little bit late…it always gets this way around christmas time!

We had been to a few dinners with my cousin and his wife, Louise and she would bring this potato salad which we have since fallen in love with! Thanks Louise.

Hot Potato Salad
Baby potatoes
1/3 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup sour cream
2Tbs seeded mustard
chopped chives
Bacon
Shredded chicken

Cut potatoes into bite-sized pieces and bake in the oven until crisp.
Stir mayonnaise, sour cream, mustard and chives together.
Cut bacon into small pieces and cook in microwave.
Stir mayonnaise mixture, bacon and chicken through warm potatoes.

I have made it without the chicken and served it as a side salad. Its yum!
And on the Simone-O-Meter…will be very very successful!

.Ingeniis Patuit Campus.

“The field is Open to Talent” is the translated motto of the University of Tasmania. Yesterday we had Jaron’s FINAL graduation ever…please no more study! Graduation ceremonies are soooo long and boring, especially on a hot day with no air conditioning. But it was the icing on the cake and feels like it is all really over now.
Some random lady took a few family photos for us…and my eyes were shut in all of them!

.Nana and Whitney – strawberry picking.

When Nana and Whitney were here we visited the Port Sorrell Berry Farm, just around the corner from our house. You can pick your own berries there for $5 a kilo, at the moment they only have strawberries to pick, but will soon have raspberries and cherries too. So we all picked and picked away (um…except for Whitney who was scared of worms…I mean, carrying the baby!) and got ourselves 2 kilos of berries for yummy desserts, breakfasts and smoothies.
Oscar was pretty excited about seeing these sheep…
