.We have moved.

We did it…our big move went well on the weekend. After a week of packing and sorting and being sick of living amongst boxes and things everywhere it feels sooo good to be in an organised house again!

We hired a truck and moved most of our stuff on Friday night, then went back and got the last few things and did the big clean of our unit on Saturday…hate doing that!

Oscar thought that moving was the most fun ever! He had to help with everything, it was nice that he found delight in something that was not much fun for anyone else!

He especially LOVED going for a ride in the big truck with Jaron!
So this is our new house. For awhile anyway. Its on a HUGE block, great for the kids to play and really private and secluded from any neighbours…Mum and Dad live right across the road!!
My favourite thing is having and extra huge room in the house. We have made it a rumpus. I love not having toys around the whole house and Oscar loves playing in there.
The move was tiring, but now that everything is put away I feel happy and organised and can finally get back into the swing of things!

P.S. We have HEAPS of room – and a spare room with an ensuite AND we live by the beach…come and stay!

.Moving to the beach.

Well, I haven’t posted in awhile because Dad has borrowed my camera and I haven’t been able to take any new photos.
Anyway, its been a busy week, packing up the house and cleaning, not fun, hard to get motivated, but tonight is the big move to our new home in Shearwater…yes, we are moving to the beach! We will be renting a house from my Aunty and Uncle until they sell it so it could be only for a couple of months or could be for much longer. We are happy to enjoy it for the summer and take things as they come.
So at the moment there is stuff all over the house, things in boxes and bags ready to go and all those little bits and pieces that get left till the end and you end up throwing them in the bin at the last minute!
Wish us luck that everything gets moved without any dramas tonight!

.the new car.

I try to be excited…I really do. Its just that cars don’t really interest me. As long as it goes I am happy. My poor husband has been so excited about getting our new car and I am not very enthusiastic, so he has to talk to his Dad and my Dad and other car enthusiasts to get a decent “car conversation” going.
Anyway, thought I should do a “new car” blog post seeing that it is (apparently) a cool thing to blog about.
Peugeot 306, 1999 model (I think…)
Oscar likes the sunroof…I like the colour…Lil doesn’t care…Jaron likes everything!

.Recipe Monday.

Okay, these are really bad – but really good!
Jaron and I made them up last weekend and they are way better than any ice cream you can buy,

Rocky Road Ice Creams
1. Place waffle cones in freezer to chill.
2. Melt chocolate.
3. Spread melted chocolate in chilled waffle cones – using the back of a spoon works well.
4. Place chocolate coated cones in freezer to set chocolate.
5. Place slightly softened vanilla ice cream into a bowl.
6. Stir through chopped marshmallows, crushed nuts and shredded coconut.
7. Place a scoop of ice cream into each cone and place in freezer to set.
8. When ice cream is very hard and cold again, drizzle each ice cream cone with melted chocolate and place in freezer to set again.
