Oscar Loves Playschool

So does Mum!! Finally half an hours uninterrupted peace in the morning! He just loves sitting on my lap playing for the first few hours of the day (which I love too) but I get NOTHING done! Then 9:30a rolls around and his full undivided attention is given to Big Ted and Jemima – fantastic.

The morning sickness has kicked in and it sucks! But is no where near as bad as it was with Oscar, so I am grateful for that. I need to eat constantly but deciding what to have is such a challenge – oh, and the super senses return…everything SMELLS! I don’t feel like doing anything, cooking, cleaning, being active. Would love to just sit and read a book all day long. Hopefully it won’t last too long this time around.

Not much on the agenda today, would love to get some scrapbooking done or something like that. We’ll see what happens…

Random

Just wanted to add a few random photos of recent times…

Putting up the christmas tree – Oscar loved the box!

The cutest little photo of Oscar in his fake church tie suit Grandie bought him ages ago and he finally fits into now – he looked like such a stud a church last Sunday!! Thanks Grandie for trying to keep us righteous!

Today was really HOT – by Tasmanian standards anyway – humid and muggy. O cooling off with a glass of water! I can hear him now crying in his cot because he is too hot and can’t wear his sleeping bag – poor little man, its going to be a LONG night!

By the way…why is it always hot on Sunday in Tasmania? Dying for a swim today!

Played around in photoshop with this one…

My very cool Amy Butler nappy bag – which I just LOVE! Way better than any store bought nappy bag I have ever seen or used – everything fits in, there are no useless compartments and it is easy to find stuff. Have had so many comments on it – think I should go into business but would be so hard to make money on them as material is so expensive and takes so much time to make.

Family Fun…

Yesterday we had a big family clean up at the river getting it ready for its sale at the end of the month. Sad, but had to be done. It really is the end of an era – we love you river!!! Such brilliant memories, fun family times and lots of swims. Everyone who could make it came down, the men busied themselves moving machinery, bits and pieces of junk and slashing paddocks while the women cleaned out shacks and the kids had a fun time running wild! It was a productive day – lots of sweat, cuts, bruises, prickles, we were sad that Pop couldn’t be with us – get better soon Pop and come home to us! After the big clean up the kids enjoyed a swim in the FREEZING river and then we had a BBQ to finish off with. Um…we didn’t know it was a total fire ban??? 🙂

Oscar’s first swim at the river was so funny – he wouldn’t let go of Mum for AGES, she finally coaxed him into the water and then there was no stopping him, splashing, eating rocks and scooting around on his bum!

Ok…so this is my brother Cade. The only person over 10 who was brave (or stupid?) enough to go for a proper swim!! He is a great uncle to Oscar, always wanting to play with him and take him on walks – although we all know ithe real reason is he so hands on is because the girls all love to stop and chat to a 16 year old holding a baby!!

Cade and my other brother Ty (19 – about to leave on a mission for Fiji) – can you guys PLEASE be NORMAL for once!!!

A great shot of the Triffitt kids, pretty sure it has been quite a few years before we have taken any photos of them all together so I was excited to get this one.

Nan still working – will she ever rest?! I think it was hard for her seeing everything being cleaned up and Pop not being there but she is always a trooper!

The BBQ…

We have the best family ever – Love you guys! Have a few more photos that I took on Saturday, let me know if you want some more and I can email them to you. If you want to see any of the photos on here close up just click on them and they will come up bigger. xxx

This is NAUGHTY!

Uh oh! Oscar’s new trick! He climbs up onto the windowsill and walks along behind the stereo and TV and perches himself on top of them! So far there has only been one tumble which I thought he would learn from, but he keeps getting up and doiong it again! All of a sudden the stereo has mysteriously stopped working – wonder why?!! Naughty but very cute!

Bubble

If you haven’t already heard…
There is going to be a new addition to the Coward family next year! We are very excited – due around the 28th July. I never ever wanted a winter baby (especially in Tasmania!) but we are still very happy!! 6 weeks and 5 days old – as big as a grain of rice. To be known as “Bubble” (…rice bubble…??). Had a scan yesterday – how cute!
