.Things I’m Crushing…Easter.

It’s just over 1 week away and I’ve been busy pinning lots of Easter inspirational ideas and images.  Truth be told, I probably won’t do anything Easterish this year (besides eating chocolate and maybe baking a batch of hot cross buns)…but a bit of eye candy never goes astray!

Happy Easter!  Are you organised?  I bought my Easter Eggs online a couple of weeks ago – got some great bargains and I didn’t have to try and smuggle them into the trolley without the kids seeing!  AND I haven’t eaten any of them yet!!!

.Jane Jenni plates.

I have enough Tupperware to last me a life time (did you know I actually sold it for a couple of years between having Oscar and Lil?!) We have an abundance of plastic plates but when we were in Melbourne earlier this year I couldn’t resist some cute melamine plate for the kids by Jane Jenni.

Are these not the funkiest plates you have ever seen?

I bought three from a gorgeous little gift shop in the Dandenongs.  Then a few weeks later picked up the others from here and here.  It’s always fun for the kids to pick out their plates for dinner each night depending on what mood they are in.
Many evenings I think “grumpy bum” would suit little (and big!) people in our house.  But I’m not sure that anyone would like to eat their dinner off a bottom!!

.Dangly earrings.

It’s been just over a year since I got my ears pierced and I have finally graduated to the world of dangly earrings!  I was a bit scared to wear them at first, they felt strange and tugged at my ear lobes and I was worried Tommy would pull at them and hurt me!
Last weekend, when I was at the Inspire Handmade Market (which was awesome, by the way – I hope they hold another one soon!) I started to do a quick walk around all of the  other stalls toward the end of the night.  I didn’t get far when I was stopped by some funky, handmade sterling silver jewellery and decided that it was time for me to invest in some danglies.  Lindsey makes the most stunning handcrafted sterling silver jewellery – you can see some of her work at her Etsy store, here.  I settled for a pair of oval flat hammered earrings – I love the distressed, hammered look…gives them great personality.  I’m also loving these stacking rings – aren’t they lovely?

A few weeks ago I entered a competition on Facebook and lucky me won a pair of earrings from Spotted Giraffe!  Cool, huh?  I love the fun, burst of colour to brighten up a plain outfit.  Thanks Spotted Giraffe!!

.Designer Fabric Necklaces.

After receiving a wholesale order for some of my Citrus Pop Designer Fabric Necklaces earlier this week, I had the urge to make a few extra and list them in the shop.
This first one is my favourite – I love Lotta Jansdotter’s new range so much and adore the simplicity of this necklace.

Bright and bubbly…

And I can’t go past a good gingham, this one is by Sarah Jane.

.Salt Waters.

Well, I’m a bit late in posting this as Summer has officially come to an end now.  And not just on the calendar either, all of a sudden the chilly breeze has picked up and the sun seems to have disappeared.

However, I do want to share my most favourite shoes at the moment.  I have lived in them and nothing else all summer and will keep them going as far into Autumn as my little toes can bear!

Introducing my Salt Waters…

These babies have been so good that I vow to purchase a new pair each Summer – I think next year I’ll go for a pink pair and I’ll be getting Lil a pair too because I’m sick of dodgy shoes for little girls that either hurt their feet, stretch, break or look ugly.  They are super comfy to wear and didn’t take any “breaking in” at all.

If you’re on the hunt for an awesome pair of sandals, I highly recommend them.  A lovely change from slipping on a pair of Havianas any day!
