My mother-in-law recently celebrated her birthday. We never know what to get her. But after seeing this tea towel I was inspired to do something similar.
I cut a rectangle out of some white linen and, using fabric paint I got each of the kids to make their hand print along the bottom. We thought that a little heart on the end would be cute to represent the baby too!
To finish the edges, I bound it using some homemade binding. Easy, personal and useful! I’m going to get the kids busy making more tea towels during the school holidays…some to put away for presents later on in the year and others for me to use. They are so simple and inexpensive to make that I won’t have a problem with them becoming worn and used. Much nicer to have a tea towel that means something hanging in my kitchen anyway!
