Hiding in cupboards…and other fun stuff…

A new adventure this morning….hiding in my tupperware cupboard!! Such a little monkey, was happily playing peek-a-boo and rummaging around in there for ages! I wish I were little again and found so much joy in the simple discoveries of life!

Had a scan on Monday to see how little bubble is progressing…so far so good. Nice little fingers and toes, good heartbeat. I am feeling heaps of movement now, you can even see my tummy moving around already – I love that!

I can’t believe that I am 19 weeks tomorrow – a week until the half way mark. Time is definately flying by this time, I can’t even keep track of how many weeks I am! We were so good and took a photo of my tum every week when I was pregnant with Oscar, although it isn’t as exciting this time because I seem to be feeling and looking pregnant ALL OVER rather than just having a lovely tight little tummy, I am still going to take progressive shots for this baby also. So…this is week 19…

The morning sickness is TOTALLY GONE!! This pregnancy far beats the first one in that respect! I am loving meat and cheese and water and chocolate again! I am not loving waking up to pee a few times a night and not fitting into any of my clothes anymore!

We have started “the corner” with Oscar. It is a bit of a joke really! I wanted to start young so that he would be in the routine of it when he gets a bit older, but it really isn’t working! I only put him there when he plays with the computer and the rubbish bin – pretty much the only two no-nos in his life at the moment. He sits there beautifully for his minute – laughing the whole time! Whats up with you boy – its meant to be a punishment! I think he is punishing me!!! At least he sits there though and always gives me a big hug when the minute is over. Maybe one day he will think it isn’t fun anymore!

Last of all…the little man sitting on the couch this morning while I snuck off to have my shower and he watched Playschool. Oh so very cute! He has NEVER sat this long by himself ever!

Haha! When I just downloaded photos from the camera I found these…little photographer…

February Fun…

Back again! December/January/February are always busy holiday months for us, making the most of the holidays trying to visit family in Melbourne and Sydney. We have just spent a week in Sydney over the Valentines Day rush doing our usual stint helping Winston out at the florist over the crazy season! I looked after Oscar, Mason and Maya so that everyone else could go and work – the kids were great! Excellent friends and Oscar was entertained 24/7 so it felt like a bit of a holiday from my one on one time with him! He copied everything Mason did, if Mason jumped, Oscar would jump, if Mason squealed, Oscar would squeal! Everyone else worked hard at the florist, Jaron did a 40+ hour marathon with no sleep – Crazy!!! We also got to spend a little bit of time with Gem and Eve and their families which was awesome.
Here are some cute pics of Oscar with his cousins…

Playing outside on the slide.

Cuddles with Maya – this was such a fluke shot!

Oscar with Mason and Maya

With the Wiles gang.

Yummy little bottoms…waiting for bath with cousin Charli.

After spending quality time with his cousins, I wanted to come home and make a book for Oscar to remember them by…this is my finished creation – I am quite proud of it!

We just got home from a few days in Melbourne yesterday. It was a short trip but we got lots of fun things done – did some maternity clothes shopping which I was in desperate need of, so now I feel really good!! Also went to a Tupperware conference and got HEAPS of free stuff, so it was worth it. Didn’t take hardly any pics, but these are a few from Dockside in Melbourne, it is beautiful there…

1 Year Bigger

Oscar is sooo big now! I can’t imagine him growing anymore.
This is what he looked like just 1 year ago…

And this is what I just got out of bed!

Then off to have a play on his weights before lunch…Jarom and Kristy gave the weights to him for christmas. They have provided hours of entertainment – thanks guys!

Yesterday a terrible thing happened…I was cutting up an avocado with my very sharp Tupperware knives and slipped and sliced through the top of my ring finger and right through the middle of my nail. It hurt so much and I almost fainted and didn’t know what to do. Oscar just kept on dancing to ABC kids. Lucky Mum was at work at the hospital down the road so I gave her a call and she came over to tend to me. Phew! I don’t know what I would have done otherwise. Now I just have a bandaged up throbbing finger. It was a bit of a drama!

SLACK

Yep…thats me! I have been so slack with everything lately – taking photos, updating my blog, reading my scriptures, cleaning the house…its time to get back on top of things! I had a nice productive day today though, did LOTS of sewing (which made me feel happy). Oscar had 2 2 hour naps (which made me feel VERY happy). And then tonight I have been cleaning like mad, vacuuming, washing floors, baking cookies. I will sleep well tonight!

I have put an end to my Tupperware career. It was actually very rewarding and prosperous while it lasted, but I have done my dash. Almost a whole year of selling it and my cupboards are overflowing! I will miss the extra money to use on my hobbies, and treating ourselves to going our to lunch and the movies, but I’m ready to have a rest before baby number 2. I just want to spend the next few months organising the house and doing all of those little things that I know I won’t have the time or energy to do for 6 months after the baby is born! Have an appointment booked for 2nd March for a scan.

I got a new calling at church. After 4 years of loving serving in primary, I am now a counsellor int Young Womens. I am so excited and can’t wait to hang out with the girls and relive my days in Young Womens…my only problem will be trying to remember that I am a leader not one of the girls!

Oscar is learning how to throw little tantrums – they are quite cute at the moment. He is saying heaps of new words. Said “shoes” today, he copies everything we do and loves to be outside.

We have had an email and a letter from Ty. He is doing well. Finding a few things difficult to adjust to in his new mission life, but he seems happy. Hates the American food in the MTC. The only thing he said that he likes are the bananas and the cookies!

Alright, think I have to go and deal with a stinky nappy and then make some icing to put in the middle of my cookies and try and get Oscar to bed. Jaron is out at meetings tonight. Hopefully he will be home soon and he can do the bed part!
